Medical Massage Therapy
You Don’t Have to Continue to be in Pain….
Medical massage therapy incorporates the use of Orthopedic Massage and Deep Tissue Therapies to address areas experiencing chronic pain, tension and limited range of motions the body may be experiencing from injury, surgery, strain or sprains and spasms.
I Can Make You Feel Better….
My goal is to have you feeling better than you came in. The very first session expect significantly relief. Some soreness maybe experienced during
the session, but you also feel a noticeable reduction in pain and increase range of motion. I”ll help you with pain reduction, pain management and pain prevention within my scope of practice.
While I strive to do my very best to improve your quality of life, if my work don’t produce consistent and significant improvements within 3 sessions, I would refer clients to another qualified expert.
I’m state and nationally certified, trained and highly skilled in various massage modalities such as Muscle Energy Technique, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Orthopedic Massage, Active Isolated Stretching, Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Therapy that can be used alone or in combination to address, treat, reduce or relieve such symptoms and ailments associated with chronic pain treatments such as:
- chronic back pain
- neck stiffness
- whip splash
- sore muscles
- sports injuries
- herniated discs
- manual lymphatic drainage
- plantar fascitis
- carpal tunnel syndrome
More and more people turn to massage to treat injury, reduce pain and ease stress
How does Medical Massage differ from “regular massage”?
In Medical Massage, I take between 10-20 minutes in the first session for an in-depth intake process. Be prepared to discuss problem areas, possible causes, activities associated with pain, to help determine the possible nature of the problem. Range of motion will be assessed and addressed. Is mentioned above I have been trained in many massage techniques to help reduce if not alleviate most pain problems. I encourage home self-care by suggesting one or more exercises that will greatly enhance your therapy progress. Depending on the condition, additional follow-up sessions may be recommended for muscle re-education, strength and improvements. I love to work with your health provider to help with a more comprehensive treatment program. Especially if doctor referred you for massage therapy.
Do I Take Insurance?
While I don’t take insurance, I will provide a receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please communicate with your insurance prior to insure reimbursement before massage. Each insurance provider has their own instructions or requirements before they will reimburse for massage. In most cases insurance requires a doctor’s referral.
If your insurance don’t reimburse or pay, we also take Health Savings Account cards, another great way to pay for your medical massage therapy.I can still provide a receipt which can be used for medical deductions on your income tax.
We wholeheartedly believe that a well-trained massage therapist will improve your life, career and community in ways that will make you and the people around you happier and more fulfilled.
